let's just talk about money shall we?

haha today's the draw for the $8 million toto. i bought it yah =p yesterday i suddenly asked haojun over dinner 'did u buy toto?' and his expression was like quite amusing =p haha aiyah it's just for fun anyway. and not like i spent alot.. but it's my first time buying toto yah! so maybe got beginner's luck heh. i highly doubt it actually. 45C6 is like 300 million combinations i think. worked it out on the bus the other day.. but haha who knows! maybe in like 8 hours' time i'd really be $4 million richer =D

when i was queuing up at NTUC to buy yesterday yah it just occurred to me that pple really do spend alot of money on lottery here in singapore =p haha my family plays very small so yah maybe that's why i was a bit shocked. coz at the counter they will display all the numbers u bought and total how much then in front of me all the people were like $100 $200 etc. found it quite scary. and i was wondering if the people behind me thought i was damn wuliao for only buying like $5 =p surprisingly they never asked me for my IC or anything! then again i wonder which young kid would actually try to buy toto/4D illegally.. i'd think watching NC16 or M18 movies illegally got more kick right =p

onto smth else. the other day my mum suddenly commented 'you and your sister uh.. both of you working then dunno how to give a little bit of money to your little sister let her save up' haha honestly speaking i nv thought there was anything wrong with that =p but aiyah i decided since my mum complained i shall do my part as a nice older sister. so what happens now is that everyday after i come home i'd let her empty the coin section of my purse heh. so far she's got $3.65! i bet by the time i go back to london she'd have at least $15 lorh. and it's like free money to her some more. but aiyah she enjoys it so shall just let her do it =)

i never had allowance until like jc i think. allowance as in proper monthly/weekly allowance. last time it was always just mum will check my wallet in the morning and she'll put money in there if it's empty haha. even now whenever i go out she'd always leave a water bottle on the table and a 10-dollar note under it. dunno why she still does it haha maybe it just never occurred to her that i never touched the money she leaves me ever since i finished my A levels =p i guess it's just that when u're already earning your own money you shouldn't take any from parents yah. i guess most pple do think like that too lah which is good. never understood why some people can just take money from parents like during army.. they won't feel bad one meh.

travelling can really eat a lot of money! as in public transport. ahh seriously lah. i spend like at least $3 everyday just on travel everytime i go out. i guess the bad thing is that i don't really feel the pinch coz my EZlink card is giro-linked so it just auto tops up every time it runs out of cash =p but yah even though public transport here is so much cheaper than in london i never had to take public transport much over there =p pity i can't just walk around to everywhere i wanna go here.. and cab fares also! it used to cost at most $8 to go to bedok and now it's like almost $10 grrr. and everytime i take unnecessary bus rides (like to accompany pple to work coz i have nothing better to do =p) i tell myself it's ok lah coz i'm earning money anyway and at the end of these 3 months i don't go negative can liao.. rarr i think i should stop & think more economically next time =p

ok my entry should end soon. coz i wanna bring my little sis out to cycle (it's half-day for her today! and long weekends some more) so let's just talk about one more random thing. haha the other day in the car my mum was like complaining, "aiyah everytime no money no money why not i sell these 3 girls lah. see who want to buy. astee ok not bad almost graduating already then overseas scholarship some more $25k can liao. then second one also not bad got A levels already.. $15k. then the young one aiyohh no A level no O level don't even have PSLE i think $5k enough already." =p haha my mum's seriously damn amusing. my retort was "my bond worth almost half a million leh!" haha how sad i'm only worth 5% of my scholarship =pp

alright! time to try convince my mummy to let me bring my sis out for sister-sister bonding & exercising session =p reminds me i just watched Money No Enough II also (family bonding session sponsored by me =p) haha beginning was like everything about ERP lah. i guess getting a car really is quite alot of money. dunno if the extra convenience is really worth it.. but then again looking at how things are going maybe next time even when i'm married & working i'd probably still be taking public transport around.. right? =p
