new blog layout!

hello! haha it's been ages since i blogged =p busy doing lab reports and studying hard =p and anyway i only wanted to blog when my new template is ready and after quite some time it finally is yay =D nice right! feel honoured if u actually spot ur face somewhere hor coz not everyone gets to have their face on astee's blog =p then again some faces i just put there to take up space one -grin- anyway quite efficient actually heh after less than a week (?) my new blog ready liao weee thanks =) me already planned to have a new blog layout a very very long time ago actually.. just that never really got down to deciding how to do it. then suddenly got inspiration so i sacrificed one night of mugging and spent some time just doing and creating stuff haha. was enjoying myself lorh =D

so anyway! haha nothing much to say. just that time is really flying very very fast lah. what have i been doing this week? i dunno =p sleeping and lab-reporting and mugging. haha typical life of astee after dinner everyday =p quite a few significant stuff happened actually. which i didn't bother to update haha oops. like SFP! stupid sky refused to be nice to us that day lah. haii. walk all the way to hyde park (poor jiaxuan who walked like dunno how many million times) then it suddenly poured like crazy then everyone had to walk back to SAF in the rain. got soo drenched lah =p but it wasn't that bad in the end lah =) had quite a bit of fun in the morning also haha making sandwiches with the rest of the exco.. quite nice to see everyone down and helping =) and listening to jiaxuan complaining about doing mindless stuff =p in the end got LOADS of extra sandwiches though (which thanks to yatchun managed to clear quite a bit =p) coz yah everyone else brought damn good food. haha but overall i guess it wasn't too bad for a first event =)

ben's birthday! haha sorry uh coz of exams we've no time to bake a cake for you.. then coz of SFP also we didn't have time to go buy you a proper cake and stuff =p but hey at least you got smth special lorh. how often can anyone blow candles on a doughnut.. and it's not just some random doughnut too =p haha hope you enjoyed yourself anyway! we spent like 3 hours talking crap in the upper gallery lah. it's been AGES since all of us hung out together to talk cock actually haha. and we were seriously talking about loads of rubbish.. like yatchun's dysfunctional family and mingjie's proper medical definition of diarrhea =p damn funny lah we just spent the entire night laughing and laughing.. really enjoyed myself =) like haojun said i'm really gonna miss all these times next time when each of us split up to our own household.. must find time to crash each other's house and talk rubbish together again in future k?

haha what else uh. ooh went for the chemistry demonstration thing with gab haojun and ziyang at saf also. must thank haojun for intro-ing it to me haha. it was damn good lah. chemistry is seriously the best subject (ok fine maybe just science =p) in the world =D really lorh. where else can you see loads of colours and explosions and make ice cream with liquid nitrogen. it was just freaking pro! yah next year i'm definitely gonna go again haha. just that i must be a bit more prepared.. the first BOOM when they exploded hydrogen and oxygen together was just terrible. got a shock then everyone went deaf for like 5 seconds or smth. amazing lah =) and i so wanna get a copy of that periodic table..

what else what else! lab sessions! haha they haven't been going -too- badly just that i dun like doing analysis.. coz there's such a limited number of IR and UV machines in the lab =p at least my last two experiments no melting point determination.. that's the worse thing to do lah. sit down there and stare at the compound while waiting for the temperature to increase at like a rate of 1 degree every 10 seconds or smth. and so if your compound melts at 250 degrees you hafta stare for like what. 40 minutes? terrible lah =p i shouldn't be saying this but i think that imperial labs are cmi. the NUS labs are soo much better lah =p but i haven't seen all so yah i guess it's not really fair to say that =p

ok anyway i think it's about time for me to go! haha meeting ade weiming and zhixian for dinner at some place near zhixian's area and i'm abit late liao oops. might add more to this entry once i remember stuff to blog about. oops i hear kengseng's door liao means i'm probably the last one =p take care everyone! and to those having exams soon.. jiayou! =)
