van. vase. venice. ventroquilist. vanadium. valentine. haha happy belated valentine's day everyone! for the couples hope you guys had a happy feb 14 =) for the rest dun worry! there's still many more feb 14's to come heh. and happy 21st birthday too yeatian!! you sound rather shocked over the phone.. and i was quite surprised you could recognise my voice as well after not hearing me for like 5 months? heh -hugs- hope you had a good time anyway! it's not often that one turns 21. four and a half more months and it's my turn ugh. anyway due to work commitment my valentine's day wasn't exactly ideal =ppp but nvm i shouldn't complain! i know my valentine's day will come eventually.. just two months late heh. don't worry i can wait! =D

how was everyone's chinese new year? haha it's of course different over here in london but my reunion dinner wasn't too bad =D had rice cooker steamboat & chocolate fondue for dessert. loads of food haha we had to play zhongjimima to finish the fruits =p mhmm but it was quite fun nonetheless. the rest of my house played monopoly after that but i was quite tired so i just went to sleep =p 初一 was so unmemorable lah. i had lectures and labs =p but i kinda skipped lab haha. went home to skype with my extended family =) spent like i think close to 5 hours on the comp just talking to friends family and not doing anything.. haha we had a three-way thing, my family in singapore, myself in london and my uncle in USA. ahh kinda missed home yeah. when i see everyone eating good food, getting dressed up and gambling. esp miss the gambling heh. was reading my cousin's blog and yah he was saying how it's not healthy that we splurge so much during this festive season and how the little kids are getting more and more involved too. i agree lah that "throwing away" hundreds of dollars like that is not good but it's all 自己人 anyway and it's to add to the mood.. haha and i "invested" in my cousin! shared half-half. in the end he lost but oh well it's just for the fun of it anyway =D

(ok that was typed out like very long ago but i didn't have time to post it =p)

shall start anew! haha i've been really really busy with major event recently anyway. ok i haven't actually been really busy coz i'm not exactly involved in any performance committee. for those who dunno this year imperial college singapore society is putting up a musical about the history of singapore. it'll definitely be great =D haha thinking back i dunno how i managed to find the time to go for all the rehearsals and still do my work during major event last year.. i must have slept very late every night =p either that or i never did half my homework =p so anyway to all londoners (and UK-ers) out there do come support our event! the trailer can be found -HERE- haha and i'm very proud of it coz it's done by yours truly -grin- =D it's 10 pounds only for a night of great performances, dim sum and it's for charity as well! i'm confident it will be a great performance but i'm just afraid that i won't be able to enjoy it coz i'd be busy doing other stuff. oh well hope that doesn't happen.. i'm really really looking forward to seeing the acting & of course the dances which a certain so-and-so is in charge of =D

nothing much to update about my life actually. just that recently i realised that i skip 3 hours of school a week. and since labs are over for me already this means that i only have 10 hours of lessons a week. ie i'm wasting 30% of MOE's money =p (don't tell mummy k!) haha this is really really bad lah. and for the first time ever i didn't hand in an assigned coursework. the reason is valid though! it's not worth my time considering how low the weightage is =p haha oh well i still hope i'd do well for second year in the end. still confident of a first but maybe just not a high one.. if i get overall more than 85% then i'd treat everyone (or whoever bothers to ask me) to crystal jade or smth =p haha we'll see how!

going germany & switzerland for easter! haven't told my mum yet though. i think i better soon =p but i kinda realise how much money travelling really takes up lah. been watching my expenses very carefully this year and so far i've saved about 400 pounds i think. but all this will be like gone during my easter trip.. oh well! my only consolation is that i will still have the 970 pounds a month during my summer break.. so no matter what i'd at least save 2000 pounds every academic year.

moving on to smth random i just read on straits times that A-level results are out this friday. gie don't worry too much about it k! jie have confidence in you.. sure can one =D not trying to put pressure on you but i'd specially get up at 7am that day to wait for the good news from mummy =D haha still remember last year how u called me at 3am in the morning to tell me that you got an A for your chemistry promos =) once again sorry i can't be around physically but mentally i'd also be there k!

mm i'm running out of things to say liao. except i realised that i'm becoming quite sticky recently. dunno why leh. maybe it's just the thought of me graduating and leaving london in one year.. oh well time really passes so fast. must really make my last year worth it.. but i dunno how. still so many things i wanna do but there's so little time.. and mm can't imagine what it'll be like to have an LDR again.. oh well don't wanna think about it =( hahah okok enough emo-ing. i'm really gonna miss this place.. the freedom hyde park the people and i guess in some ways the weather =p oh melho's coming over in june! haha smth to look forward to after my exams =D and eunice i'm still waiting to visit you in france in dec k!
