whitley secondary school

haha been attached to whitley for more than two weeks already.. which means i'm more than fifty percent done! yay time flies quite fast mhmm. haha but after this i dunno what i'll be doing already.. i'd end up just eating and sleeping at home everyday confirm will get nagged at by my mum one =p but at least once my attachment's over i can concentrate on meeting up with other people and enjoying myself liao yay =D

mhmm whitley isn't -too- bad uhhuh. in fact my attachment has been more slack than anything =p four other scholars with me.. brigitte zhanrui & elfie from NUS and shyam from oxford yup. haha and all four of them are physics/maths people lah. i'm the only one there who does chem.. smth which none of them can understand =p haha our main purpose there actually is just to uhh do a project and come up with a report yup. haha we were lucky enough to get a combined project in the end so it's a lot easier.. beginning it was just a lot of "interview" sessions where we met up with various teachers from various departments so that we have more stuff to write for our project..

heh the funniest one i remember is the meeting with the DM. haha the time we arranged to meet him just nice got two kids got into a fight so we got to witness abit of stuff.. apparently a sec one boy punched a sec two boy then the sec two boy punched back and the sec one boy's (who was alot alot bigger in size) nose started bleeding =p then yah they got caught lorh so need to get caned.. but before that must inform their parents. heh it was quite amusing lorh when one of the boys was talking on the phone in hokkien "eh papa wa tio caning leh" haha i didn't come from a neighbourhood school yah so it was just smth new i guess =p

pity didn't get to interact much with the students though. i sat in during a few classroom and lab observations.. the normal acad students are really fun-loving lah. under the announcement section on their whiteboards they have stuff like "don't watch fantastic four. it sucks" =p haha and they're quite creative people even though it's obvious that they have totally no interest in studying =p i was listening in to a social studies lesson yah haha then the teacher was asking how can singapore solve our water shortage problem. then someone shouted "wait for tsunami to come lah" =p as elfie was saying i think i can just sit in there all day and listen to their crap lah. damn entertaining =D

haha smth terrible happened during the past two weeks though! me fell sick =( it's like after going sentosa on saturday (7th july) i went to grandma's place for dinner then dunno why i decided that i didn't feel well so i just anyhow tell my mum i had a fever then i just went to sleep early at 10pm. haha got up only at 3pm the next day lah. and turns out i really got a fever =p though i didn't believe it at first haha. while i was sleeping my little sis was jabbing the thermometer into my ear and when she shouted to my mum "MUMMY THIRTY NINE POINT FIVE!" i was just mumbling back "aiyah thermometer spoil lah" =p haha after awhile when i checked it again then i was convinced that i was really quite sick =p so sadly had to sms darius to cancel the dinner appointment.. hope it wasn't too much of a trouble!

mhmm took panadol and fever went down but then i started coughing and sneezing also.. i tahan three days of work until thursday when i decided (or more like someone was nagging at me =p) to go see a doctor and take mc.. haha all my twenty years of schooling i think i only took mc like twice or smth lah. then now work for barely two weeks only must take mc liao =p took one day of rest (slept like 75% of the day or smth) and felt alot better i guess. haha and now i'm almost fully recovered! just a bit of a cough left only..

okok enough liao. just rambling on and on about nothing in particular =p this week quite a busy week for me! project presentation due on friday and i volunteered to do the powerpoint so yah i need to chiong a bit =p then got so many meetings for singsoc stuff also.. like 3 out of my 5 weekday evenings are gone liao lah. so sad.. considering that evenings after 6pm is like the only time some people can go out =p there's confluence this saturday as well as the NDP preview.. then on sunday meeting the linstead people yay =D pity the following monday still got work though.. JC talk hope it'll go well! haha ok i think it's about time i go to sleep.. reading the sixth harry potter book now hope can finish it before the last one comes out. ohh one more thing. haha every morning assembly in whitley starts off with the same few words by the same teacher - "can you please exercise some self-control? please control your mouths." =p heh me and brigitte find it really amusing and so far he only forgot to say it once =p take care everyone!
